For years the industry had struggled to reach the youth market in significant numbers. Over all the industry has never met its potential. Despite overwhelming interest in learning to dive the industry has never been able to break down the barrier to make diving a mainstream business.
The gaming industry is more than 20 times larger than the dive industry in total revenue and more than 100 times the participation rate. It also skews heavily to the youth market we are trying to reach.
